How to Purify the Gemstones?

Take sea salt in a clean copper bowl with running or freshwater, ensure we are suggesting sea salt (crystals), not a normally packed salt, if not available can use a normally newly packed salt as well.

After mixing a spoonful full of sea salt, in a bowl take the gemstone in hand and request and instruct the gemstone to cleanse itself in salt water and remove all touch imprints from itself, soak the gemstone bead for 2-5 minutes and then place under the running tap water to remove all salt extracts and cleanse itself.
Dry and clean it from a fresh cloth and prepare for an Abhimantran (Energising) Mantra Pooja before wearing (after the ring or the ornament is made).
Get a little cow milk, fresh cow milk curd, pure honey, cow desi ghee (cow fat from milk), fresh water, yellow rice (or akshat unbroken rice seeds) and flowers (yellow and white preferably) ensure these are kept in pure utensils used in Pooja (not in regular use). If utensils are made of copper and brass that would be the best. Get some Ganga Jal (if from Haridwar or sangam), get roli Chandan, Dhoop and red aasan to sit and japa mala of 108 beads of Rudraksha for chanting the mantra after gemstone abhishekam.

Step-by-Step Procedure for Abhishekam

1. Preparation of the Space:

Select a clean and quiet place for the Abhishekam facing North directly towards your Home temple.
Arrange all the materials in a Pooja plate.
Clean and cleanse the gemstone with a dry cloth before beginning the ritual as shared above.

Light a lamp or diya and burn incense or camphor.
Meditate for a few minutes to calm your mind and focus on the ritual.

3. Purification with Water:

Hold the gemstone in your right hand and pour clean water over it while chanting a purification mantra like “Om Apavitrah Pavitro Va Sarvavastham Gatoapi Va.” ( “ॐ अपवित्रः पवित्रो वा सर्वावस्थां गतोऽपि वा” )
Wash the gemstone thoroughly with water, visualizing the cleansing of all impurities and negative energies.

4. Milk Abhishekam:

Next, pour milk over the gemstone, symbolizing purification. While doing this, chant the gemstone’s associated mantra
